Please join us for Demos’ launch of ‘Knowledge Nomads’, a new report on the role that highly skilled migrants, particularly scientists, play in the UK economy.

Knowledge Nomads are highly skilled and highly mobile people. Innovative economies need them, but we know little about what motivates them and what policy can do to attract them. Demos' report looks at flows of skilled people into and out of the UK, and delves beneath headlines on immigration to examine highly skilled migrants' origins, motivations and experiences. It argues that the mobility of scientists and entrepreneurs is vital to innovation in science and technology, and to the UK economy overall.

Caroline Wagner, David Roblin, and Richard Reeves will join James Wilsdon in discussing the UK's ability to attract talent in a highly-competitive global market, particularly in light of recent changes to UK immigration rules. The evening will conclude with a drinks reception.
